Closing Interviews

The final question you should always ask is ‘what are the next steps’.

Failure to ask this question will mean you are lacking valuable information regarding timescales etc, and you risk leaving the interviewer in some doubt as to your keenness on taking the role if offered.  Interviews should always be left on a positive note.  Thanking the interviewer for seeing you and reiterating your interest in the role always has a place at the end of the meeting.
