There are many ways of constructing CVs and the debate continues as to which type of CV is best, chronological or functional. We at TAPex believe that for Interim work a functional CV is the right approach – in the interim world it is all about getting the job done and hiring managers tend to be interested in transferable skills.
The CV is there to grab the reader’s attention and offer them assurance that you are the right person to ‘get the job done’. Above all else a CV should be:
- Easy to read – quickly communicating your key attributes
- Highlight those skills that are important for the role to which you are applying
- Assure the reader that you have the right background to fulfill the role
- Support your case with strong evidence
